BABEL D supplied the tables and chairs that furnish the beautiful terrace/garden of the Palazzo Velabro hotel, bringing its precious contribution of colour and comfort to a splendid structure.

The hotel, part of the Mariott-design hotels chain, is located in Rome on Via del Velabro, which in antiquity was the final stretch of the valley of the Velabro stream, which ran from the Roman Forum to the Tiber.

Palazzo Velabro, built in the 18th century and already restored by the rationalist architect Luigi Moretti in the 1960s, has been entirely redesigned by Garibaldi Architects, who have given it a third life. An essential role has been given to colours: cobalt blue, sage, raw earth.

On the terrace on the first floor of the building, are, by choice of architect Alessia Garibaldi, MELIK chairs designed by BrogliatoTraverso, JOS armchairs and GAO bistro tables designed by Simone Bonanni. All the furnishings were made in customised versions to meet the hotel’s specific requirements and finished in exclusive colours selected by Alessia Garibaldi.

Here, guests gather at aperitif time or for a delicious breakfast with a breathtaking view on the ancient capital.
